Shiva Yourdkhani
Lives and works in Tehran, Iran
ShivaYourdkhani hold an MFA in painting from Tehran University of Art. After graduation and few years of focusing on the medium of painting, she turned to new mediums as sculpture, video and installation to experience new forms of perception. The core of her interdisciplinary practice in past years is the concept of “mohit” loosely translated to environment, but also the outline and external limit, she reflects on this term in relation to the Land and body which revolve around its socio-economic and political dimensions.
